Hunan cafe is my favorite go-to spot in Herndon. The food here is consistently incredible.The ingredients are fresh and authentic. The crispy beef stood out due to its perfect balance of crunch and spiciness. , Every bite was an explosion of flavor, and the heat level was spot-on, leaving a delightful tingling sensation on the palate. Besides the food, the service here is unparalleled as well, making every visit a great experience. Definitely recommended!!

It’s been a great experience taking out for a family party, we do this every year with them on Holidays. Food was great and hot everything was on time, staff was very helpful and kind. Their food portion is more than enough for each person. We will continue to do business with them. :D

We needed to order for a large group with multiple food allergies on Christmas Eve. A difficult task. Hunan assured us that their kitchen practices would keep everyone safe, and they delivered on that promise! We had no issues with finding menu options that were peanut, tree nut, and gluten allergy friendly. There was no jumping through hoops, and when we placed an online order they had sections to add food notes AND a separate section just for making note of allergies! The food was delicious: all the dishes were well seasoned, the meat was very tender, and the portions were so generous! They also gave us so many fortune cookies! Thank you Hunan for feeding our family holiday celebration!

Food was quite decent and tasted great! There are many options as well. We ordered for a small party and they were able to complete our order in 15-20 mins. The staff were also very nice and accommodating. Recommend gong pao chicken, “木须肉”， “芙蓉蛋”.

Freshest Chinese food, I ordered in the morning and picked up the vegetables are a deep green color and the shrimp are very big!!

Love this place! They are so nice and give great portions of food, so worth the money! Go at least 2-3 times a month when I’m hungry and want something that’s going to fill me up….this is the spot!

I took my family here for a meal, and we had a great experience. The food was fresh and full of flavor. We especially enjoyed the Mongolian beef—it was tender, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of spice. The shrimp with green beans was another standout, cooked perfectly with a nice balance of flavors. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It’s a great spot for a casual, delicious meal, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Yum yum eat ‘em up! The food is fresh and well made. The crispy beef is flavorful and the duck is tender. We also had the hot & sour soup and the egg drop soup. Both are fantastic! The staff is friendly and efficient, and the environment is welcoming. Highly recommended!

I’ve ordered from Hunan Cafe multiple times, and it’s become one of my go-to spots in Herndon for Chinese takeout. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The menu has a lot of variety, and everything I’ve tried has been consistently good — especially the crispy beef, fried rice, and noodle dishes. What I appreciate most is the friendly service and how quickly orders are prepared, even during busy hours. It’s a simple local spot, but the quality and consistency keep me coming back. If you’re looking for reliable Chinese food in the Herndon area, Hunan Cafe is definitely worth trying.

Food was delicious and fresh. Staff were efficient and nice, provided excellent service. Fried appetizers are fresh and crispy, made to order. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a chinese take out spot!!
